Well, it's morning time and Alyx and I got up at 6 am to get some breakfast and head to the Metro to go to the Airport. Chine flight is a total of 15 hours. Getting there at 1230 am China time. ....  more to come.....

last day in Australia

we had a great time here in Australia. The first day we had some rain but that didnt really bother us too much. We are so tired from the constant walking. WE cant even stay up past 830 pm. :)  Anyway, heading to China tomorrow morning. Should be intersting. WE have been able to wash our clothes, thank God. Heading out with Alyx in a bit to have a beer, if we dont fall asleep. More pix to come. I hope everyone back home is well.  Dont work to hard..

made it to Auckland this evening, catching an early flight to Sydney. we were able to get a used tire and they put it on in less than 5 min. this morning we were trying to drive up to the ski area, which is an inactive vulcano , however we didn't have snow tires and couldn't go up. i was determined to see and touch snow, so i was going to walk up the icy 6k road while Alyx was waiting in the car. I was on foot for 15 min when a car passed by and I held out my old hitch hiking thumb came out, how the car with the old couple didn't stop, with no surprise . amazingly after about 5 minutes the car came down the mountain and stopped. The woman in the car said that they usually dont pick up anyone , but they felt bad for me and drove me up the mountain and down again.:) thank you very much! I got my pix and ate some yellow snow that was there. not

We were told by some locals to take the forgotten highway to national Park, NZ. Now i know why it is called that, there are so many twist and turns someone could easily fall off the mountain and be forgotten. It was so fun. Oh, and we got a flat tire. :-\ National Park is nothing short of just a drive by town but it'll do. Tomorrow we get to sleep in the car and its freezing here, wish us luck.

Mount egmont. New Plymouth

After a long, yet pleasant flight(15hours) we arrived in Sydney, Australia. I must say hat Qantas is great. Service and entertaining was awesome and at times u get to meet great people on your journey. See attached pic

New Plymouth, New Zealand. After spending 50 plus hours in trains, planes and automobiles, our bodies were marinated long enough. our gas light went on 35miles to our final destination last night. it was dark, nothing but mountains and for over an hour no car, town or gas station. where is a 7 11 when u need it? we arrived safely in New Plymouth youth hostel to be only greeted by a quilt of urine and blood stains on our bed sheets. u don't want to know how we slept. .... more to come soon.

day 1: exhausting! it'll all be worth it when we are finally in New Zealand :)
